Tomarimbando - Competitions

Marimba Competition Rules

Art. 1º - Who can participate?

All Nationality competitors are allowed to participate

Art. 2º - Competition Dates

The competition takes place during the Tomarimbando and competition dates are framed in the schedule of the festival.

Each competitor must check the schedule of the festival on the site tomarimbando.sfgp.pt and / or contact the organization by email [email protected].

Art. 3º - Categories

The competition is split in 3 categories

Cat. A – max 16 years

Cat. B – max 23 years

Cat. C – max 30 years

Art. 4º - Registration

The registration for the competition is 60 euros (bank fees are not included) and only includes participation in the competition.

The contest entry must be made in Tomarimbando website at http://tomarimbando.sfgp.pt where each competitor must complete the registration form on the "Registration".

By submitting the registration form an application form will be created and the contestant must send to [email protected] accompanied the proof of payment.

Payment must be made by bank transfer in the name of:

Only entries with the application form is accompanied by payment will be accepted.

Registration must be made by 31 May.

Art. 5º - Necessary Documents

Every competitor in the day of the competition must come along with an Identification Document and the original pieces to execute.

Art. 6º - The Jury

The jury's decision is absolute and incontestable and the competitors will be evaluated from 0 to 100.

The Jury may interrupt the performances.

Art. 7º - Competition Gala

The Competition Gala will be in the last day of the Festival in the Paradise Theatre in Tomar.

The winners competitors must bring black cloths to play in the Competition Gala where the awards will be done.

The pieces to interpret are chosen by the artistic director.

Art. 8º - Awards

The Awards are offered by the sponsors.

Art. 9º - To participate in the Festival

Any Competitor that wants to acquire the TOMARIMBANDO CARD may do it with an increase of 30 euros to 60 euros for participation in the contest with a total of 90 euros (Competition + TOMARIMBANDO CARD).

Note: The TOMARIMBANDO CARD is 50 euros.

The repertoire for the Marimba Competition is announced with the announcement of the Festival program.

Snare Drum Competition Rules
